I thought you'd never ask! Bastet is pronounced BASS-tet. From the ancient Egyptian Goddess of the home.
Diatomaceous earth is made of 80-90% of silica that consists of the fossilized remnants of minuscule water-dwelling creatures known as diatoms.
Our Stone Bath Mats have an exceptional water-holding capacity, absorbing up to 150% of their weight. However, to ensure their longevity and prevent any potential mould growth (albeit at a slow pace), proper drying is essential. Here's what you can do: - Elevate your Stone Bath Mat slightly above the surface to allow for adequate airflow, expediting the drying process. - Ensure they are given sufficient time to thoroughly dry between uses. - In the event that your mat becomes overly saturated, prop it up against a wall. When it returns to its original light colour, it's good to go again. This ensures a fresh and hygienic experience with every use.
In the event that your Stone Bath Mat gets stained, please use the sand paper provided with product, and gently rub to remove the stain.
While our stone bath mats are designed for durability, occasional breakage may occur under significant force or weight. To mitigate this, we recommend using the foam pad that is provided with your Stone Bath Mat between the mat and the floor.
